Roman

Roman was dressed in his tuxedo, his hair expertly styled by Ace of all people. Apparently, he was a barber and just wanted him to look good for his sister. His facial hair was also neatly trimmed, making his face look even more handsome. The wedding was set for sunset and they were now at the location in Leesburg, which was Gina’s grandmother’s home. There was a small pond on the property with a fountain in it that seemed to be a centerpiece for the event. He managed to see some of the set-up before Burger ushered him into the house and into one of the bedrooms.

He'd been laying on the bed for thirty minutes before the door opened. Roman sat up and tensed when he saw Burger enter along with three other people. All older in age, and if Roman had to guess, it was Gina’s parents and her grandmother. The resemblance was striking. He rose as a sign of respect.

“So, this is the asshole my daughter just had to marry,” the older man said. He was a highly intimidating figure, to say the least. If the other men Roman had met unnerved him, this guy scared the shit out of him. His gray hair was parted with the back draping on his shoulders and the top in a ponytail. His gray gaze was hard as he glared at Roman with annoyance.

Roman noticed the cut over his white dress shirt had the ‘President’ patch over his chest. Along with one that said ‘Man of Carnage’, ‘Second Generation’, and “Lifer”. He didn’t know what any of that meant, but the one percent patch gave him all the information he needed. The man scrutinizing him was a criminal, probably a killer, and he was in charge of the entire club.

The woman next to him was beautiful and looked so much like Gina with her long black hair and hazel eyes. Her tattoos were also pretty badass. Roman didn’t have any tats, but he always thought they were cool. Then there was the older woman who was now stepping forward between the man and woman. She looked like she wanted to get a better look at Roman. She reached up, grabbing Roman’s chin and turning his face left, then right, then she pulled him down closer to her.

“You are about to marry my granddaughter. You better treat her right, or I swear to god, you will regret ever meeting her. Am I clear?” the woman said.

Roman winced a little as her grip on his chin had tightened, but he nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”

“Good.” She released his chin. “My name is Aiyanna, but you may call me Mrs. Cly-Murphy.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Roman said.

“Hmph,” Aiyanna scoffed, then turned and left the room.

The other woman said something using sign language and Roman frowned.

“She said you—”

“Better not ruin the wedding,” Roman interjected.

“First off, don’t ever fucking interrupt me, are we clear?” the older man said.

Roman swallowed and nodded. “I’m sorry, yes, we’re clear.”

“Secondly, you speak American Sign Language?”

“Just a little, I learned it years ago when I was a teen.
